Permits & Provenance
I strive to operate within the laws of the Canadian Wildlife Services and the Province of British Columbia.
To that end, if you have a permit for your piece, a copy must be included upon receipt into my care.
However with most antique or vintage pieces, original permits have been lost or never existed at all. In this case, if the animal is a restricted specimen (ie. migratory native bird, CITES listed, etc.) you will be required to complete a form attesting to its known provenance in as much detail as possible. -
Payment, Delivery, Pick Up
Payment for services can be made via e-transfer, cash, or PayPal. Please note that a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to begin work, once a quote has been approved.
I am located in Richmond, BC, and serve the Great Vancouver area. If you are unable to deliver your piece, it may be possible for me to collect it for an additional fee; the same applies when the work is complete and ready for pick up.
Please note, when you are notified that your item is ready for pick up, I kindly ask that you collect it within 14 days. -
Limitations
While I use as many archival materials as possible in my restorations, please note that my restorations are not considered museum-conservation level; museum conservation requires months of work, as well as storage under museum conditions (low lighting, regulated humidity, etc.) Appropriately, it is also significantly more costly.
Note also that I cannot change the body position of a taxidermy animal, as this would damage the interior framework and cause additional problems.
