Restoration

Each commission is carefully evaluated, and a bespoke restoration plan designed to bring it back to life. Restoration generally includes but is not limited to such treatments as:
-cleaning
-pest treatment
-re-colouring
-rebuilding and/or replacement of missing parts
-reconstruction of habitat/mount
-repairing/repositioning eyes
-repair of antique cases (if applicable)

A detailed quote will be prepared for your approval, based on an hourly rate of $65-$85 per hour (minimum three hours) depending on the technical difficulty and specificity of the work required.

Please email me photos of your specimen to be restored (several from various angles are appreciated), and I will reply to your query within 24-48 hours.

Note that turnaround times for full restorations are generally weeks to months; restoring antique and vintage taxidermy takes time and cannot be rushed due to the sensitive nature of the work.

Cleaning

Don’t require a full restoration but have a specimen that could use some cleaning? I can do that too! If your taxidermy piece is in excellent condition (ie. no loose fur/feathers, major damage, etc). a good cleaning can often make it shine again.

Cleaning a taxidermy piece generally includes:
-using gentle dust removal techniques via vacuum or blower
-non-destructive cleaning using dry methods or select wet methods
-precision cleaning of hard to reach areas, such as inside nose/mouth
-finishing treatment with all natural pest deterrent

Rates for cleaning generally range from $35-$55 per hour depending on the complexity of the piece, with a minimum rate of two hours.

Send me photos of your piece (several different angles are appreciated) and I’ll reply to you within 24-48 hours with a quote for cleaning.
