About Me
Love of the natural world, history, and death culture have all converged into a dream profession for me, restoring taxidermy from days gone by.
In my previous life operating a vintage and antique furniture/decor shop, I would come across neglected, cast off taxidermy specimens, tattered and worn but still beautiful, in need of care and attention. For years I absorbed and applied every bit of research I could find, learning as much as I could about how to restore these sad beauties.
With my vintage shop coming to a close, I was finally able to travel the world to learn from the masters in this field. I have had amazing opportunities to participate in workshops with the very best natural history conservators, from the USA to the UK. I am grateful for their knowledge sharing and expertise, and I'm thrilled to offer a new level of taxidermy restoration not previously available in my area.
To restore an old taxidermy mount, is to me a way of honouring the life of the animal. By restoring a piece, I am not condoning the killing of an innocent creature, but instead attempting to give it a new life so that it can be appreciated again, even in death.
