Laura Stapleton of Regal Beast Restorations came to the rescue when I received a 140 year-old Peregrine falcon in a Victorian display case that I won in a UK auction online. Unfortunately, it arrived after shipping in terrible shape with extensive damage, having being tossed around within the case with no interior packing. Moreover, the birds had also suffered from infestation with beetles. Thanks to the pain-staking excellent restorative work done by Laura, the Peregrine, its dove prey and the case are now looking as if they are new. I cannot recommend Laura enough to other collectors that wish to preserve of the beauty of nature found in such specimens from the distant past. -Dr. Steven Pelech
