Antique Horse Hoof Pen Holder/Lamp Combo

This totally unique oddity was made circa 1920, and features a horse hoof, complete with original shoe. Brass and copper hardware has been formed and fitted to accommodate a pen holder and not one, but two (!) lamps! A three-way switch allows for one of the two lamps to be on, or both at the same time. The lower lamp is behind a thick frosted glass convex lens, while the upper lamp is housed inside a cow horn. The entire piece has been disassembled, cleaned, new wiring installed, new LED bulbs, all metal pieces polished, and the cow horn polished. 

It was common during this era to make ink wells and paperweights from horse hooves, however this is the first time I've ever seen such a unique interpretation! Beautifully restored and a wonderful addition to any workspace. $395 (pen not included)
